VACATION! Dean and I are heading out Saturday to PTown for the week. We have never been there, but it is sort of a summer Mecca. It will be fun to see Miss Richfield and Varla Jean, both have stage shows in PTown. I plan on reading several books from my list! With the new job and move I have gotten behind.
If you have any question about the cafe while we are gone Jason and Brandon will be in charge. Thanks guys!

It is always interesting to hear how different people define the term Gay Business. Some people think a gay business is one that only gay people go to, like a gay bar. Others believe that a gay business is one that is owned by gay people: Twin Cities Quorum Members (http://www.twincitiesquorum.com/index.php5). While others believe if your business advertises to gay customers then it is a gay business.
The definition is not written out.
The only reason I am bringing this up is now that we live in Lake Elmo (near Stillwater) we want to support local gay or gay friendly businesses. I saw an article in Lavender about such businesses and the Lake Elmo Inn was listed.
Then I saw this: http://images.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/fecimg/?25990438471
The owner of the Lake Elmo Inn gave $1000 to Bachmann for Congress. Now, how could a business listed in Lavender as a gay friendly business give money to Ms. Bachmann? Well, the clear answer is he doesn't mind the gay dollar from the gay customer but he doesn't really support us.
Someone needs to define the term gay business.
