Last night was the P FUND 2006 Scholarship Celebration Program. P FUND was founded in 1987 as a community builder for GLBTA future leaders. This mission is done by giving grants and scholarships to developing leaders in the GLBTA community. Dean and I were asked by our friend Bill King to co-sponsor a scholarship. The intent of our scholarship to be awarded to a GLBT teacher or student pursuing a teaching degree. The reciever of the first King/DeGree/Schlaak Scholarship was Mark French. You might know Mark as being the out principal of the Osseo School District who was on the TV program with Rosie O'Donnell. Mark is seeking his doctoral degree and his superintendent's licensure. Congratulations Mark!
