Here is a customer story:
Wilde Roast Cafe has played an important role in our relationship. Mark and I have been together (very happily) for nearly a year and a half, and have just finished moving in together. I guess the Bush administration would view it as "shacking up". Our first date lasted nearly seven hours, half of which were spent at a corner table at Wilde Roast Cafe. Mark had the incredible Key Lime Pie with a double espresso and I had a really wonderful cobbler with an amazing Vanilla Latte. While the desserts and coffee were wonderful components of our first meeting, the environment at Wilde Roast Cafe provided the perfect setting for those first attempts at figuring each other out.
We really loved the fact that a couple of guys (such as us) could be so comfortable in a place where we could engage in a generally serious, intimate conversation. It was the perfect place to launch our new relationship. Whenever we're at Wilde Roast, we always try to sit at the same table. We even orchestrated a successful Blind Date for a couple of our friends from the very same table.
Congratulations on creating a space where so many people from so many backgrounds can enjoy each other's company. We're looking forward to the Artichoke Pizza, and hopefully "our" table will be open, as well. Thanks for being a big part of the history of Dennis and Mark.
Take care -Dennis Taylor and Mark Sauerbrey

Whew. This week has been hectic. Lots of last minute push for the Illume Event. Jeri was interviewed on FOX 9 News this morning and KARE 11 did a Coffee with KARE spot. I don't think I would ever want to work for a non-profit. Fundraising is hard. No matter how much I believe in the Illume mission it seems impossible to get people understand. The event will go on no matter how many tickets we sell, but it would be nice to help Illume out on their mission of helping the orphans of AIDS.
Hope to see you at Tanlgletown Gardens on Saturday night!

Watch for us this Wednesday on "Coffee with KARE" and FOX 9 Morning Show. This is all about the Illume Event on Saturday night. I think Jeri (the woman who started Illume) will be on FOX 9.
On Saturday night Dean and I went to the HRC Dinner. If you have never attended this evening you need to mark your calendar for next year. The HRC President spoke and introduced James Carville. HRC does a ton for the GLBT community.
