What a great weekend! The cafe was very busy with many out of town guests wanting to try out the NEW cafe. It was a blast handing out H2O and T-Shirts in the Pride Parade today, plus Dean got to show off his new truck. Yes, it has a Hemi!
The Wilde Roaster Volleyball team got 2nd in the Pride Tourney. So, I played volleyball from 9am to 6:30 pm on Saturday and RAN the parade on Sunday....whew, I need some rest.
Thanks to all for an awesome Pride Week.

Don't forget to check our NEWS/EVENTS page to find out our PRIDE Events. My sisters Mary and Sarah will be running the GAME NIGHT....they are a hoot!
PRAISE FOR BUNCO: Bunkonet.com
Bunko is a dice game. It is a social game played with multiples of 4 people. Most commonly, it is played with 12 people. Although Bunko is often associated with crowds of women drinking heavily and gossiping, this is NOT required. "Sounds pretty gay to me Homer"
For those of you who like to read ahead the August Book Club book has been picked. It is "The View From Delphi" from Jonathan Odell...we will be meeting the author on Tuesday, August 17th at 7:30pm.

Wally (Wallace Threlkeld), one of our favorite regulars, passed away this last week. He will be greatly missed by us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his partner Randall. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Quatrefoil Library (quatrefoillibrary@yahoo.com).

One weekend only -- “Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat?”
"Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat?" -- actor/writer (and frequent Wilde Roast customer) Amy Salloway’s well-received one-woman show launched as part of the 2003 Minnesota Fringe -- is about to depart for Victoria BC's Uno Festival of solo theatre and the Thunder Bay Fringe in Ontario. Before it takes off, though, it's jump-starting its metabolism by playing for ONE WEEKEND at CalibanCo, in Uptown Minneapolis. Don’t miss this chance to send a local arts scene ambassador off to the Great White North with good travel karma!
DOES THIS MONOLOGUE MAKE ME LOOK FAT?
A rollercoaster confessional of peevish intestines, perfect siblings, wanna-be lesbians and oughta-be boyfriends. What’s a single, spherical girl gotta do to find where she fits?
Written and performed by Amy Salloway
Friday through Sunday, June 11-13
Friday-Saturday 8 pm
Sunday 7 pm
CalibanCo Theatre, 610 W. 28th St., Minneapolis MN 55408
(This is in Salem Lutheran Church, on 28th and Lyndale. Theatre entrance on Garfield, on the east side of the church. FREE parking available in church lot.)
Tickets $10.00 ($8.00 students/seniors)

Our first movie ticket winner is Bruce Knight. Come in and register to win 2 FREE tickets to The Heights Theatre.
Now Showing at the Heights Theatre is the 3rd Harry Potter movie (see web site for show times). What better way to see a movie than a restored theatre with a free organ concert at the 7pm shows on the weekend. The Heights Theatre, built in the Beaux Arts style of the last century, is located in Columbia Heights, not far from the Wilde Roast Cafe. The Heights was originally constructed in 1926 by Gluek Brewery heir Arthur Gluek as a prohibition real estate venture.
ANOTHER stroke of good luck for us. Oddfellows is featuring the Wilde Roast Cafe desserts for the next week! This is amazing to us, as we love to eat at Oddfellows and think it is one of our favorite Twin Cities restaurants.
