* New Menu: Our new menu is up and running. Dean and Jan took off some of the items that were not selling and added some new items, but you should come in to check out the new menus…because they have a look new too.. but if you want to see new items you can look on the MENU page.

* Going GREEN: Yes, I run the environmental center for St. Paul Public Schools and am currently helping Humboldt Jr. HS become an environmentally focused school. So, this summer the WRC has looked into ways to become more green. Here is our start: our plastic to go cups are 100% compostable (really) and our paper to go cups are Eco-Products. This means that they use 100% percent recycled paper. We are looking into curbside composting…coming soon from Eureka!

* Have you heard of espresso tea? We are now serving Red Espresso…find out more! It is the first tea espresso.

Last night was the first Fierce and Fabulous Block Party, and Dean and I have a few THANK YOUS!

• One Heartland: WOW…my first real job out of college was at a YMCA Camp in Eveleth, MN. I know what going to camp means to kids, that is why this is such a good cause. Several campers shared their stories last night, both are affected by HIV/AIDS. The young boy told how only at camp can he talk about his HIV because his is worried kids at his school won’t accept him if he told them. So, for one week a year he connects with other kids with HIV and is able to talk about it. If you didn’t make it to the event last night you should consider consider mailing a check to One Heartland. (put Fierce and Fabulous on the memo line)
• Kimberley Locke and ANT: Kimberley has the #1 Dance Hit on the charts right now (her 3rd #1 Hit) and ANT has his own show on LOGO. Both believe in One Heartland so much that they performed for FREE! So, if you did come last night your $20 was a tax write off….ALL of the money went to One Heartland.
• People who came: The numbers were a lot lower than we hoped for…so those who came despite of the rain (it actually didn’t rain during the event). Here is a picture of my friend Teynae and her cousin with Kimberley.
• Our Staff, Chastity Brown, Abigail, Andy from RSVP, The Gay 90’s and friends and family who helped.
