Atlanta-based out singer/songwriter Mike Rickard will bring his honest, personal and humorous music to the Cafe on Saturday, August 11 at 8pm.
“I am a feeling sensitive person and I first began writing as a way to deal with my feelings. I think that sensitivity shows in my writing. But I can be totally irreverent and absolutely could not live without humor. I’ve always felt that I’m a little left of center; that I don’t quite fit. And you know what? I’m fine with that.”

New York singer / songwriter Robert German will perform at the Cafe on Saturday, May 26th at 8pm.
Fusing folk, jazz and blues to create his music, German layers his songs with vocal variations, from clicks to trumpet-sounding wahs. His signature finger-style guitar playing has drawn comparisons to both Nick Drake and Ani DiFranco. His influences include Tori Amos, Dar Williams, Joni Mitchell, Happy Rhodes and Louis Armstrong.
German has hit number one on Sirius Satellite Radio’s OutQ Hot 20 with his songs “Open Wide” and “Marlboro Man.” Along with his debut album Sirens of Brooklyn, German released “Marlboro Man” as a single in April 2006 which was distributed nationally with the DVD for Brokeback Mountain. www.robertgerman.com

Eric Himan (erichiman.com)will be back at 7pm on Saturday March 24th! Eric has a unique sound that crosses genres, with bits of Blues, Folk, Pop, Blue Grass, Country, and Rock all served up with a pinch of wit and charm.
Gregory Douglass (www.gregorydouglass.com/) is coming back to the cafe on the night of Feb. 4th with special guest Steph Taylor.
Jon Peterson and his band are returning on Saturday, Nov. 18th. They will start around 8pm.
