St. Croix Garden Tour
Posted June 14th, 2008 at 10:35 pm by Tom
Our garden will be on the St. Croix Garden Tour…a benefit for Family Means. July 12th and 13th….hope to see you on the tour. Tickets are only $12, all money will go to Family Means.
Artistically arranged plantings create a palette of chartreuse and burgundy that accent the charming 1915 arts and crafts home. The fencing, garden gate and deck not only set off the gardens but also creatively disguise a dog run. The front garden was created just two years ago after a driveway was torn out and the side gardens have been restored; with super-sized bird bath. The yard is accented by graceful, 150 year old bur oaks and white pine. Make sure you see the Dwarf Ginkgo “Jade Butterflies”, Golden Spirit Smokebush, Vanderwolf Dwarf Limber Pines, and the Tiger Sumac. “Gardening is all about building community, many neighbors stop to talk with me when I am working in the garden.” Tom
