FLICKR

Posted May 17th, 2008 at 9:34 am by Tom

Have you been to the web site flickr.com yet? Anyone can submit photos for others to see. I ran the search for Wilde Roast Cafe and saw 19 photos have been uploaded for you to see. Check it out…then run other searches…like your home town. It is different than Yahoo or Google Images because it doesn’t pull images from other sources…only pictures that have been put on the site show up. This the most recent picture by plyduck on May 11th.

MetroMix

MetroMix is a new online resource for everything and anything to do in the Twin Cities.  Check out their review of the Wilde Roast Cafe (and add you own).

This cozy, Oscar Wilde-inspired neighborhood café enjoys a strong following, in large part because of the slate of delicious (and award-winning) desserts. Enjoy their sinfully good La Bete Noire, a flourless chocolate that was featured nationally in Bon Appetit magazine. Though straight-friendly, owners Tom and Dean welcome are very welcoming to GLBT clientele. A crackling fireplace creating the comfy atmosphere in which to unwind after a long week.

Jennifer Taylor - Jennifer Taylor.jpg

June 5th at 7pm

Jennifer Taylor, singer/songwriter/musician, has been performing for audiences all through the Northeast Region of the United States for the last eight years. Jennifer plays an average of 250 shows per year and can be heard at a variety of venues featuring her acoustic, modern rock sound. As a solo artist, Jennifer is versatile in her ability to offer audiences a mix of popular rock favorites along with her emotionally infused original music.  Complimented by a rhythm section, Jennifer has the option and ability to transform her sound into a contemporary, permeating, electric performance.

In 1998, Jennifer teamed up with Matthew Russo (Producer and Engineer) and Peter Moshay (Vocal Coach and Engineer) and released her first full band Acoustic Rock/ Adult Contemporary CD, simply titled “Jennifer Taylor”. This 8-song CD has allowed Jennifer to capture the attention of her fans with its emotional and unforgettable dealing with affairs of the heart.

In 2002, Jennifer reunited with Matthew Russo and Steve Holley (Studio Musician for Elton John, Tina Turner, and Paul McCartney) and released her second CD entitled “A Different View”. With every song as good as the next, Jennifer’s powerful lyrics and intense vocals keep you listening to the end. With the release of her second CD, Jennifer succeeds in bringing her audience a new modern rock style never heard before.

In 2008, Jennifer heads back to the studio for her long-awaited third album.  Stylisitcally, Jennifer is tapping into her rock-n-roll roots to create a more upbeat, intense and rhythmic sound.  New songs like “What if”, “Running Over Me” and “Oblivious” have impressed crowds through out 2007 and will appear on her third CD.

Her determination to prevail is one attribute hard to ignore as she astounds her audience with her passionate performances. Ready to seize the spotlight, it is inevitable Jennifer’s talent and persistence will take her to the next level.
