Minneapolis Police say a burglary ring skilled in stealing safes could be active this weekend and may target coffee shops.
“This is the holiday season. There may be people short on cash during this time,” said Minneapolis Police Sgt. Jesse Garcia.
Police said Caribou Coffee is a target, but they urge all coffee shops to make bank drops more often.
“Somebody broke in at night and took our whole safe. They took a dolly in the middle of the night and we found our dolly outside, took our whole safe out with them,” said Tom DeGree of Wilde Roast Café.
Wilde Roast Café had a break in last year. The café put in cameras and made other security changes after the robbery.

OH MY GOD! I am so sorry to hear that! I hope they didn’t get much. How disheartening to come in the morning and find that!! I hope that the cameras you put in help the police find them. What a crappy thing to do.
You two always have so many fundraising events for other folks, it is time someone has one for you both!
