Life Update/ New Hours
Posted August 31st, 2007 at 3:37 pm by TomI am back at work so you might see less of me at the cafe, but I was replaced by Joe (NOT Cup O’Joe). Joe is our new manager who comes to us with AWESOME qualifications. Be sure to introduce yourself to Joe.

Besides being back at work Dean and I had a huge scare this week. Ruby and Mac ate a large amount of pesticide: I use it on house plants I keep outside in the summer. So, they had to have their stomachs pumped and stay at the hospital overnight. Dr. Bailey gave Ruby a 50% chance of making it…but she DID!
Have a great weekend. We are now closing the cafe at 9pm on Sunday, but we will be open for Labor Day.

Dear Ruby & Mac:
You are an inspiration. We eat smelly stuff that Papa says we shouldn’t all the time. Hearing your story and knowing that you just squeaked by will make us think twice before following our noses. Happy healing!

dear ruby and mac: so sad to hear about your scare. our daddy has his share of scares with us as well, getting into our chow and gorging as well as eating the kitty poop and litter. but now we are constantly under supervision. good to hear you made through the wilderness. sincerely rufus and radish, chef jeffs puppies
