Named after 19th-century playwright Oscar Wilde, the Wilde Roast Café (below) boasts an entirely homemade menu that includes jams, sauces and salsas. Owners Dean Schlaak and Tom DeGree felt that Minneapolis was in need of a dessert place that could be a coffeehouse in the morning and a café in the evening. They hoped it would be a spot that Wilde would have been proud to have named after him.
