Deeply in earnest, Tom DeGree and Dean Schlaak announce the opening of their new café named for the irreverent 19th Century playwright Oscar Wilde. The Wilde Roast Café, at 518 Hennepin Avenue East, is the ideal place to cultivate leisure because, after all, "cultivated leisure is the aim of man"- Oscar Wilde

The Wilde Roast Café has a variety of caffeinated beverages along with a light breakfast menu to get you started in the morning. There are sumptuous salads, soups, and sandwiches for the lunch and late afternoon crowd. In the evening, feast on gourmet pizzas, sample from our fabulous beer and wine selection or treat yourself and a friend to one of our delectable desserts. The Wilde Roast Café is something of great importance, adding a non-smoking gathering spot to the ever-expanding East Hennepin commercial district. It is easily accessed from the Southeast/University, Downtown and Northeast neighborhoods or from just about anywhere in the Twin Cities.

A large, off-street parking lot makes it convenient to stop in for a quick purchase when on the go. It will also come in handy when making a dash for the café during our somewhat chilly winter days and nights. This is the perfect spot for your morning coffee with a weekday opening time of 6:30 am, (weekend opening time of 7:00 am). Friendly counter service will assist you throughout the day. The 1900's fireplace with leather Chesterfield couch makes the Wilde Roast Café a very cozy, sophisticated gathering place, suitably open until 11:00 pm weeknights and till 1:00 and on Friday and Saturday nights.
